There are a couple of pedals out there that do an amazing job of producing the shimmer effect and these are the ones that I think anyone looking to achieve this effect could benefit from. The shimmer effect will definitely help spark the creativity flame. This especially goes for musicians that are creating ambient music and just so happen to need an angelic choir section behind them. While it's a unique sound, shimmer reverb is not a new effect by a long shot - it's been around at least since the late 80's most notably used by U2's The Edge, but now seems to be back in demand after the popular Strymon Blue Sky brought the effect back into popularity.Īll in all It's a pretty cool effect and can be useful depending on the type of sounds you are wanting to achieve.
